These Terms of Service apply to your use of Voxcribe. By using Voxcribe, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
The service and your account
Voxcribe turns video and audio into editable text. Your browser extracts the audio locally and uploads only that audio; the original video stays on your device. You may try the service anonymously. Creating an account, including through Google sign-in, lets you claim eligible anonymous tasks and manage your saved history. Keep your account access secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use.
Your content and permitted use
You retain ownership of your files and transcripts. You must have the rights, permissions, and any required consent to process the material you submit. You give Voxcribe and its service providers permission to store and process submitted audio and transcripts only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. Do not infringe copyright, violate another person's privacy, submit content unlawfully, bypass usage limits, automate abusive requests, or interfere with the service or its interfaces.
Plans and payments
Plan limits, prices, and features are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Paid plans are not yet available; the payment terms below apply once they launch. Payments are processed through Creem. A recurring subscription renews at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the current paid period. Deleting an account ends access immediately and requests cancellation of its subscriptions. Refund eligibility and the removal of refunded credits are described in the Refund Policy.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded audio is deleted after 7 days. Unclaimed anonymous text is kept for 7 days, Free-account text for 30 days, and paid-plan text until you delete it. Existing paid text has a 30-day grace period after a downgrade to Free. You are responsible for exporting material you want to keep before it expires. You can delete history items or open /account and choose “Delete account and all data.” The Privacy Policy explains deletion and the limited security and financial records we retain.
Transcription accuracy and availability
Transcripts can contain errors. Review the output before relying on it, especially for decisions that affect other people. We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free output. We may maintain, change, or suspend parts of the service and will give notice of material changes to paid terms where required.
Suspension and responsibility
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with law, or address a breach of these terms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee that it meets every purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
